01 / Imaging

How the Image Is Captured

The imaging system uses a camera and a high-temperature pinhole lens to collect the furnace image and display it directly on the camera.

The camera and lens sit inside the protective cover, which extends through an opening in the furnace wall to view the interior.

02 / Cooling

How the Optics Stay Cool

The protective cover has three layers: the outer layers carry circulating cooling water that removes heat from the cover.

Compressed air on the innermost layer directly cools the lens and blows out of the front observation hole, protecting the lens.

The Inspection Process

Insert Probe

The cooled probe extends through the furnace-wall opening.

Collect Image

The pinhole lens collects the interior image.

Display Live

The camera shows the furnace interior in real time.

Record

Images and video are captured for evaluation.
